Airfix 1/48 Westland Lynx AH7 *FINISHED*
Well building this one for an Airfix GB on another site, it is going to represent the one I saw at RAF Northolt's Nightshoot, XZ196/ T. A great kit but work has held up due to a stress fracture in the plastic along the main fuselage so building is on hold for the moment. Anyway aside from the above problem, the kit is great with loads of external detail and quite a bit on the internal front, had to add a few belts to the bench but apart from that pleased with the way the interior as come out, box shot and interior work below.

And one of everything completed, side walls for the interior and the bench

Was due to have a Lynx at my school today for the schools Combined Cadet Force but unfortunately had to scrub due to problems with the airframe
Update as soon as I have replaced the issued part, leaving 10 minutes from Hornby HQ may just help with that
Regards
Nick

Thanks for the comments so far. So on with the update, I picked up the spare part from Horby HQ, great service but the fit has been a bit iffy mainly due to the central supporting arch in behind the cockpit area, its just too wide. The main body is together, well together and the gaps filled with filler . Aside from this the clear parts have also been masked up. Since this picture was taken Sunday I have added the tailplane section and a few other detail parts.
Tonight should see a few coats of the grey and then the green tomorrow, updates mt be slightly scarse as my Laptop is currently being fixed

Well after losing my modelling mojo, I have got back to work on the Lynx, so it now has paint, it has also been glossed.
Work has also been carried out on the rotors but there not worth showing at the stage they are now. As taken under artificial lighting the colours look a bit varied, well drastically varied to be honest, but the middle green band I would say is the closest.

Well calling this one done, had an enjoyable time with this kit, my first helicopter build.
Kit/ Aircraft - Airfix 1/48 Westland Lynx AH7/ XZ196-T of the Army Air Corps
Paints Used - Tamiya Acrylics
OOB apart from a few bits of added detail for the interior
Just the one picture for now, as in artificial light, will wait until some daylight to get some final pictures up (Probably wednesday as back to school now , but have a half day on Wednesday)
