Airfix 1/48 Merlin HC.3

The box art for this kit is now on the Airfix website, so inevitably the release isn't too far away I suspect.
Must admit, despite not being my scale, I'm going to have to get this kit, I just love the Merlin. I've seen some discussion elsewhere moaning about the lack of variation in the colour profiles, madness considering they're all green! Personally, I think there's huge potential for a heavily weathered afghan bird, which will be the way I go.
If it's out by Telford, and I decide to go, it might be my annual Telford treat

Shaun - my brothers Aero Society hosted Airfix at RAES Farnborough a few days ago (we had them at Marham this time last year) - they said that the Merlin is not due out until Feb 13...

Will be interesting to see if the Aftermarket companies jump on the band wagon and do conversion/decal sets to allow Canadian, Portuguese, Danish, Italian examples.
