Revell 1:144 A-90 Orlyonok Ekranoplan

THis was my first excursion back into modelling since i was a teenager . I made a lot of mistakes on it but i think i also learned quite a bit in the process.

Now that is one helluva unusual but equally impressive build, never seen one these before in model form (or in real life).

Looks like a another couple of nice builds in the background as well.

Thanks Scott but you wouldn't believe how much went wrong on a model with so few parts. It was my first time using filler and i didn't know about taping either side of the joint, so i lots some detail to overfilling. The original box art shows a red line around the nose intake but you are expected to mask that up yourself......the list goes on

I have one of these to complete for my brother behind me as I type - The kit actually is really good! I do agree about the masking issues,but with a little care, its easiliy solved.

Looks like a nice tidy build and pretty good for your first steps into modelling again.

Just one tip about the photography; try taking the shots against a neutral background (white or blue) or an unclutted background as it does distract from the kit in question.

Thanks for the photography tip - i hadn't thought of that! I will give it a try with the next lot of photos.
