At last the eagerly awaited 1/48 F-4B from Academy has appeared, although don't get too excited as it only the moulds. This is the first dedicated kit of this version of the Phantom and is sure to sell out fast when it gets released.

Are you sure that is a one piece section? not sure myself but could and probably am wrong!

Either way I might invest in one!

By one piece I think the mean two halves ie: front and rear fuselage are one piece like the Hasegawa F-4E's and not different sub assemblies for the front and rear sections.

Always enjoy seeing the tooling of kits, appeals to the engineer in me!

Interesting stuff though, as you say, sure to be a popular kit, which makes me wonder why it hasn't been done before? Also, maybe I'm imaging things, but I'm sure I've read Academy were planning to this in a proper scale too? Wink
